Do you have a special occasion coming up? Searching for the perfect, thoughtful gift for your friend or loved one? Give them the gift of monogramed drinking glasses that you can DIY for a custom gift from the heart. This is also a very cost-effective way to add a personalized touch. These monogrammed glasses make thoughtful housewarming or engagement gifts. They’re also a great way to personalize bridesmaid and bachelorette favors! Give a beautiful and unique gift that will really make an imprint!
NOTE: Before you get started, wash your glasses and dry completely.
Step 1: Cut out your stencil and tape to the center of the glass. Make sure you stick or tape tightly to allow for better seal of the paint.
Step 2: Apply gloves if desired before using etching cream. Place glass on flat surface with stencil facing up. Use a paintbrush to apply a layer of etching cream onto the glass, making sure to cover the entire surface of stencil. If the cream does get on you, rinse immediately with running water.
Step 3: Wait 10 minutes, giving the etching cream a chance to fully dry and then remove the stencil.
Step 4: Rinse the glass completely under warm running water. Use rubbing alcohol with a Q-tip to fix any imperfections. The etched glass is now permanent and you can care for these glasses the same way you would all your other glassware. You can even put them in the dishwasher!
Tip: You only need a small amount of cream for this project, so save your etching cream and stencil to use for more Ball Jar projects and personalization in your DIY future!
